NCS SURFBOARDS is based in Crackington Haven on the beautiful North Cornish coast, an area of designated ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ which also happens to have some of the best surf in the UK. Surfing, once known as ‘The Sport of King’s’ due to the participation of Polynesian Royals, goes hand in hand with some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK, Europe and the World. As such surfing has become more than just a sport and has spawned a complete lifestyle together with a booming fashion industry.

With the rapid improvement in communications and transport links to South West England, South Wales and Ireland, surfing has become one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and Ireland. Everyone wants to be a part of the surfing lifestyle and as such there are more and more people learning to surf for the first time and more ‘weekend warriors’ than ever before.

Over the years we have witnessed countless numbers of people trying to learn to surf on inappropriate equipment, having been sold a ‘fashionable’ board rather than a dedicated learner surfboard. In recent years, with the explosion in the number of British Surfing Association registered surf schools, this situation has improved with the emergence of soft surfboards for learners and children. Many of these boards however are very much ‘first time lesson’ boards and do not allow an individual with a few lessons under their belt much scope to advance through to the intermediate ranks.

Here at NCS Surfboards, we feel we have come up with a range of all round softboards, suitable for both first timers and those with a few lessons to their name. By learning with these softboards the budding surfer will be able to advance from beginner through to the intermediate stage quickly and smoothly. Trying to learn on the wrong equipment will hold you back and could put you off surfing forever. Don't let it happen!
