Welcome to NCS Surfboards
As part of our development program we make sure that we know how the softboards surf ourselves. It wouldn't be right for us to be marketing a product without having first-hand experience of them in action. It is also very important for us to know that our soft surfboards are as good as we say they are! After all, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with our products and after sales service and to keep coming back and back......
Since we started in 2004 our boards have gone through many changes in both design and materials. These changes have largely been based on customer feedback which results in our products being what the customers want and not what we think they want.
For 2009 there is no change to the construction as we are very happy now with the durability of the boards. The only change is to make the boards more learner friendly for the surf school environment by giving them slightly fuller shapes. The maximum dimensions will be the same as per 2008 but the nose and tail will be fuller with the tail also being squared off. The deck of the boards will also be flatter, from rail to rail to aid stability. The main result of these changes will be that the boards will have slightly more overall volume than before which will give them more bouyancy and stability.

Following the introduction of our Soft Stand Up Paddleboards in 2008 we are looking to raise their profile in 2009. As well as being used as SUPs, two charities, Surf Relief UK and Surf 2 Heal in Ireland have successfully used the boards to provide surf instruction to autistic and handicapped children. The boards are big enough to provide the instruction using tandem surfing with the instructor and the student both on the board. As SUPs the boards can give a surf school a valuable alternative to customers on those flat summer days or they can also be used to take customers paddling on inland waters when ocean conditons prove prohibitive.
We are constantly looking to improve our products where possible and as part of this program we took our range of softboards on a surf trip to Ireland back and put them through their paces. Our test riders Marcus and Pat rode the 6’ and 9’ models at some small beach breaks in the remote south west.
Check out the Gallery for shots of the trip.
We take customer feedback very seriously and we encourage customers to give us as much information on their experiences with our softboards as possible. In this way we can continually improve and evolve the boards taking into account our customer’s requirements and wishes.
If you are an existing customer and have any comments or suggestions to make then please do so by sending us an e-mail. Your comments will be taken seriously and if necessary could result in design changes being implemented.
